He who is of calm and happy nature will hardly feel the pressure of age, but to him who is of an opposite disposition, youth and age are equally a burden.

PLATO

Have you ever wished you were somebody else?

Let’s face it, we all must have at some stage in our lives – whether it be the desire for curly locks instead of dead straight tresses or simply wishing for a different skin.

What little girl does not wish she was a princess instead of just an average Jane…

Harmless day dreaming is not destructive, and sometimes, it’s good to aspire to the life of another if that person is viewed as a role model  –  it gives you something to grow towards, a benchmark for your own life’s journey.

But wishing to be someone different all together is a fruitless exercise.

Not only does it breed resentment and envy, but it knocks your sense of self and therefor your self esteem.

There are those of us who don’t want to be the voluptuous one, or the pear-shaped, but we just long to have the co – called perfect figure and be forever cellulite free.

But when body images blues get you down, remember that trying to reach goal weight is a constant struggle for most of us.  So what if your legs is wobbly!!

It doesn’t make you a lesser being, you are still the best you that you can be.

Embrace yourself, embrace life and give yourself a break!
