I know I’m not, but it sometimes feels like I’m THE biggest Seattle coffee supporter…… We all have our brands we like and support. Mine is Seattle coffee. What I particularly like about their new Perridgevale coffee shop, is that you can sit there and work too. So, this is my go to coffee shop when I need to catch up on admin. You order coffee, pay and collect at the same spot and find your seat or off you go. A while back, I collected my cuppacino to stay. Making my way to the table I occupied, someone accidentally bumped into me, spilling some of my coffee!
Why did I spill my coffee? Because someone bumped into me? No, I spilled the coffee, because there was coffee in my mug. If there was tea in my mug, I would have spilled tea..
The point is this: Whatever was in the mug, that is what spilled. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (and it will happen), whatever is inside you, will come out. It’s easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So, we have to ask ourselves: “What’s inside my cup?”
When life gets tough, what spills out? Joy? Gratefulness? Peace and humanity? Or does anger, bitterness, harsh words, and negative reaction come out?
